“It does not matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop.” –Confucius
2021 was rough. The world is still dealing with a pandemic and we are all very tired of it. During my recent break from work I was able to clear my mind. I realized that I was coasting through my days and I hate that. I put together a plan to do something meaningful for myself each day.
I listened to
this podcast and found that I needed to establish some habit systems to help drive my goal. I’m using this
Google Sheet to track these.
My Six Tiny Habits:
- Wake up at 7am
- Read 10 pages
- Write 1 journal page
- Practice a foreign language (with Duolingo)
- Plan my day
- 30 pushups/situps/etc
I am going to do these every day. They are small and take me about an hour. Focusing on today’s quote, consistency is the most important piece. Consider the habit of reading 10 pages a day. It’s not that much of a book, but done everyday and it’s 70 pages a week, 280 pages a month!
Think about what you want to accomplish this year, break that goal down into something so small you can do a bit every day. By the end of the year see how far that gets you!
I’d love to know what your goals and how you are going to break them down. Reach out and let me know!
